The Question: Should Christians be taking purity pledges?
It is fine if someone does. There is a lot more going on there. Bear with me for a minute?
The Modern World was built on Christian Tolerance. Christian Tolerance came out of the Reformation where Christians were doing horrible things to each other. Christian Tolerance is based on a shared sense of values. Fast Forward many decades, and Christian Tolerance became Liberal Tolerance. Satan is a liar and a thief. Liberal Tolerance transformed into Woke Totalitarianism, where people were being chastised and rebuked, and judged, on a subjective moral standard that has been changing like the wind.
In 1960, there was prayer in schools. There ended up being a Counter Culture. The Counter Culture, with the Sexual Revolution, it worked to push all Christian Taboos and Traditions. Sean Puffy Combs, he was part of a Counter Cultural movement with his music. Diddy Parties, and some Eyes Wide Shut type of Satanism, was how all the Sex Drugs and Rock and Roll ended. In the 1980's, celebrities and rock stars were known to be immoral, and be involved in debauch. Into 2000's; somehow, that left the pubic mind. Many people seemed surprised by what Puff Daddy was up to.
Richard Dawkins says he is "Culturally Christian." Richard Dawkins has been a Counter Cultural weirdo, looking to push all Christian taboos and traditions.

Views on Society -
Atomism - A belief that society is made up of a collection of self-interested and largely self-sufficient individuals, or atoms, rather than social groups.
Organicism - A belief that society operates like an organism or living entity, the whole being more than a collection of its individual parts.
The Body of Christ is a society. Who is your neighbor? In the Body of Christ, some people are hands, some the feet, some the eyes, some the mouth, and so on. We all have a function in the body. (Ephesians 4:11)
The Question is: Should Christians be taking purity pledges? They can. It would be better if they were living in a Christian Community, with Christian neighbors, going to a Christian school, or home schooled. Who is your neighbor? In a Christian neighborhood, where people are motivated to build the Kingdom of God, there may be a Christian culture developing. Someone needing to take a purity pledge was not living in Christian Culture. The Counter Culture, where we have Richard Dawkins and Puff Daddy Parties, that was mainstreamed into mainstream US Culture in the 1970's.
Christian societies value virgin brides. Were you living in a Christian Society or more of a Harlot Ezekiel 23 society? Drinking a Harlot's Wine? (Revelations 17)
Who is your neighbor? Christians should be living in Christian Communities. It may be a good time to do that with Donald Trump sailing the ship. It may be a lot harder, or impossible, later.
The Question: Are there already some of these communities, and are there things to look out for?
Yes.
Someone should do their research before joining such a community.
Personally, I would be looking out for cult like signs, such as a totalitarian supreme leader, and not being able to leave. There have been some potentially bad communities.
The Question: Why don't, or haven't, more Christian Churches promote this, or similar things, as you have?
ReplyDeleteThey were all attacked, and have been bogged down, or tied to, corruption.
Satan and demons are attracted to authority. Freemasons, who are in an Occult Secret Society, they may have worked to assert pressure on a pastor to not teach certain things.
To Occult - To Hide Away.
Saul Alinsky, author of Rules for Radicals, he was a community organizer. He would go into a community, and sit there for a few years, being part of a Church, looking to get into positions of influence. Once he got into a position of influence, he may have started advocating for Non-Christian things.
It is March 14, 2025, and DOGE has been uncovering corruption. Which Churches were receiving government money? The Lutherans were. The Catholic Bishop recently filed a lawsuit. They were receiving a lot of money to handle Migrants. Why were not the Atheists/Secular Humanists complaining? With that money, those churches were owned and controlled. There may have been some Behind Closed Doors deals for those Churches to have that money.
It is not wrong, for a Church, to receive government money. What is wrong is if there were conditions being made, in the deal, that hamstrung the Church.
ReplyDeleteGiven we can show that Churches were receiving lots of Government money under Biden, and it wasn't being fought in court, it may open the door for other avenues, like helping missionaries somewhere.
