Should Christians play D&D or Baldur's Gate 3? In the 1980's, there was a big uproar about D&D being Satanic. Is there a danger there, and what is it? This is what we are working to answer today. Who is the audeince for this? Christians. Given you are not a Christian, but an opinionated weirdo, you don't matter. This isn't for you. See ya?
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)
Part of Spiritual Warfare has been a war of words, a war of thoughts. How does man perceive himself? How does man perceive God? The goal of spiritual warfare, and Christianity, may be where someone has Jesus on their mind. They are in a personal relationship with Christ, and they are receiving. They talk to God. Their thoughts are aligned. (Philippians 2:2)
Faith is a journey. There may be a progression.
Someone chooses The Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior -------->Someone is seeking God with all their heart and soul and strength and mind ---------> Found God -------->Sanctification.
Given someone was a third or fourth generation Christian, they may have become comfortable and complacent. In being comfortable, they stop seeking. They were not vigilant. They may have ended up going through the motions. They knew what was supposed to happen, and may have had some good theology; however, they stopped seeking.
Given someone was reading Harry Potter, or role playing in D&D, someone thoughts were separate from God. They were not seeking. Their perceptions were not aligned with God, and God's Good plans. Given someone really liked Harry Potter, as a Christian, that may have become a stumbling block, a barrier for someone to continue on their journey in faith.
I am not going to make a list of things you shouldn't do. Someone should be mindful. Personally, God has had me sample various media looking for allegories and spiritual things. I do movies and music and video games. I am looking for allegories, and potentially Spiritual Warfare....that is, occult people doing ugly things to ensnare Christians. A lot of Woke material, it has been of a Lilith demon spirit, working out of Belial. It is worthless. Something like "The Last Jedi," from Star Wars, that movie had a "Lilith Form." Balder's Gate 3, it has a "Faust" Form or character. Someone role playing in that, they may have ended up with stumbling blocks, barriers to growing in faith.
God more recently queued me to check out Starcraft 2. I have played it before. I replayed it. Story wise, Starcraft 2 isn't too bad. I did find demons bound to Starcraft 2. I have played Starcraft 2 before, and was fine. I found demons bound to it. This was a more recent thing. Microsoft bought Blizzard. A lot of the creative people who built Blizzard are gone. Blizzard has been a Microsoft Intellectual Property Mine. They want to mine it for all it is worth. In this understanding, someone bound some demons to Starcraft 2. After playing for awhile, I would end up demonically oppressed. I would deal with the demons and keep going. Starcraft 2 may be ok now. It wasn't good.
I am not making a list of things, and telling anyone they can't do something. I am saying someone should be mindful. Are you a Christian seeking God, or did you start floundering in your journey of faith? Was someone in Darkness or The Light of the Lord? (Ephesians 5:8) Darkness may be lies and false perceptions. Satan was known as the Lord of Lies. The Prince of Darkness. A Christian values Truth and Justice. Live as children of The Light.
Addendum -
Question: What exactly was the demon attached to Starcraft 2?
Starcraft 2 is free to play, at least the first campaign. There is a monetization system there, where someone may have been buying digital gimmicks. Microsoft would like people to by the two other campaigns.
Spirits effect motivations. How is someone motivated? Man has freedom of will. How is someone motivated? There was a demon associated with greed and money attached to Starcraft 2. It was attached there to "help" people make decisions to purchase.
Question: Has said demons been attached to other games?
Possibly. I can't say I play a lot of games with the type of monetization system Starcraft 2 has. I bought Starcraft 2, and its expansions, as they came out back in the day. I would be watchful of anything coming from Microsoft, at this time. Microsoft, and various people around Microsoft, they may need to be investigated.
Question: How do you deal with demons?
Demons are attracted to authority. I was given some gifts from God. In journey of Faith, I have been doing Sanctification. I have tended to be a magnet for spirits.
I have ended up demonically oppressed many times. Pretty regularly. God has liked to catapult me into some spiritual warfare, and I take care of things.
Given I became Oppressed, I ignore it. I sing songs in my head, or pray unceasingly. God may have given me some prayers to deal with demons.
"Lord God, I am your servant __________. If there is anything bound to my head or my heart, I unbind it, I cast it out, I bind it to the the deepest darkest parts of hell. In the name of the Savior The Lord Jesus Christ.
Someone needs a Fear of God. Fear of God is a good thing. Fear of God takes away fear of man. (And other things.) Given someone had a fear of demons and supernatural things, those demons may have been like a bully. They feed of that fear. They want you to fear them. Fear of God takes away fear of man. (And other things) God is love. God's love is fatherly. You are doing the right things? What do you have to fear? Perfect love knows no fear.
Question: Is there historical precedent for the Spiritual Warfare you are describing?
In Pagan Rome, there was a lot of literature. What happened to it? Christians, they may not have wanted to think, to perceive in paganism. A lot of literature had pagan forms. Various priests may have kept around or alive important works and history. The other stuff was discarded.
In Egypt, there were hieroglyphics. Hieroglyphic reading and writing was taught out of pagan temples. As Christianity gained popularity, people would have lost the ability to read or write Hieroglyphics.
There is a history of Spiritual Warfare given someone understands what to be looking for.
In 2025, something like "Chaos Magic," from Western Occult groups, it was secularized and taught from Universities. Philosophy may have a lot to do with how people think and perceive. Was someone thinking in Pagan Occultism?
Question: Is there a danger here?
What is cool? What is popular? Hipsters, they were Counter Cultural people, working to push taboos and traditions, to "Out Hip" each other. Rap, for example, is counter cultural. Is New Rap or Mumble Rap better? There was counter culture there working to out hip each other. It is egotistical.
In Christianity, was someone looking to "Out Church" other Christians? They were looking for attention. They may have been on the side of the road, on a fast, wanting people to see them fast. They may have stated "I don't watch or play this or that" looking for attention. Dealing with media, and what people are consuming, someone needs to be "Ego out." A man drops his ego, and he is aligned with God.
People choose God. Society is The Body of Christ. As Christians are growing in faith together, they separate themselves from Non-Christians. In Christian communities, there may be rules to help guide people in faith. Given someone doesn't like the rules, they don't have to live in a Christian community. Holy means "to be separate." Part of Sanctification is someone being made separate to come closer to God. As Body of Christ, a community, there may be Sanctification where there are rules or guidelines set into place.
I stated that I would not make a list of materials that someone should not consume. That type of thing is really more of a community decision to make where Church Elders, men who are more of one mind, are making decisions about that.
There is Freedom in the Lord. People choose God. Making a lot of rules may be stifling.
Question: What you do with the videos on Twitter.......
Part of Spiritual Warfare. This videos, they may shift someone's perspectives. @ Manonfire63.
Question: Does having "Jesus on your mind," does that make someone Schizo?
Christianity has been around for a long time. Psychology is a Western Occult pseudo-science. Men like Dr Sigmund Freud, and Dr Carl Jung, they were into the Occult.
A man's Body is a Temple. Part of talking to God may be intuitive. Someone perceives through God's Holy Spirit. The Holy Ghost is a teacher and a counselor. How can you be taught or counseled if you can't listen or hear? Having eyes to see, and ears to hear, is a particular thing in Christianity. (Matthew 13:15-17) Someone with eyes to see and ears to hear, they may be "Awake" in Christ. Was someone Awake or Woke? Woke would be Satanic, were people associated with Freemason, Rev Jesse Jackson, and his Rainbow Coalition, they were using religion for man's or Satan's purposes.
Luciferian - Someone saw God as the Dark, and man or something else as The Light.
In Christian history, Luciferians were known to have pagan rituals out in the woods at night where they may have performed human sacrifice and had orgies. Is that not exactly what a Burning Man concert is? Burning Man was a celtic pagan ritual involving human sacrifice. At the Burning Man concert, there was all types of debauchery going on.
Occult Luciferians, they have had a motive to keep Christians blind and deaf and in sin. Given someone had eyes to see and ears to hear, they may be able to see what Occult Luciferians were doing.
Given someone has Jesus on their mind, and they are hearing God, it may infer some understanding of Schizophrenia. Given someone can hear God, they may be able to hear other things as well....like demons.
Question: How may someone become aware if they are mentally ill or demonically oppressed?
I am not a doctor.
Given someone was having intrusive thoughts, thoughts that were not characteristic, something forced, that may have been demons. I like Agnus Dei. Given someone thinks they have some demons, go to youtube, and search Agnus Dei. Watch the video a few times. Does something jump? Given there is a reaction to prayer, a reaction to scripture, a reaction to The Lord Jesus Christ, that was a demon.
